I had a player once who would shout obscenities regarding promiscuous women whenever he rolled low. So after one of these tirades I suggested he start paying his dice. So he took out a dime and put it next to the d20, and next time it rolled, it got a 20! So now he pays his dice over the course of the game; if it starts rolling low, he'll add more to the pile. Once over an 8-or-so-hour session he had accumulated approx. $3.50. What's more, is if someone needs to borrow one of his dice, we have to pay it.
When I play Warhammer 40k, I have a stack of small blue dice (for hit rolls), a stack of small red dice (for wounds), and a stack of standard green dice (for leadership, morale, etc.). I was mindlessly stacking them and found that when I built them into a pyramid at the beginning of the game, they would roll approx. 15% higher; I now do it most games.
One of my d20 habits: I have three different d20s, which I don't designate. Normally I'll just grab the first one I see from my pile, but lately I've been having a 'superstition' about them. I take all three and roll them on the table stopped by my hand (think turning a dice cup upside-down), I'll note the rolls, then repeat two more times. I've been lately picking the ones that show the greatest variance of rolls (this varies based on time of day, ambient temperature, humidity, etc.). I'll retest about once an hour, or if I notice that one dice is starting to get predictable. I only do this whil GMing though. When I'm a player, I pick the one that consistently rolls higher.
I have a dice bag too...remember when there was the Harry Potter Bertie Bott's Every-Flavour Beans? The real ones? Remember that bag they came in? ...yeah...
