It_is_called_YouR_MoM I was just trying to come up with a deck different than my water deck. The theme itself is just to throw high-level monsters into the graveyard and then summon them back onto the field on purpose, while also tributing low-level monsters to bring out others from my hand. So please be nice, this is my first time asking. crying Traps: Light of Intervention - permanent trap making others unable to set cards face-down. Call of the Haunted - getting a monster from the graveyard. Sakuretsu Armor (x2) - destroy attacking monster Draining Shield - negate attack and get life points equal to the monster's attack. Dust Tornado - Destroy 1 trap / spell card and bring out 1 trap / spell card from hand. Straight Flush - when opponent's trap / spell card zone is full, use this to destroy all cards in that zone. Spells: Giant Trunade - to return all spell and trap cards from the field to the hands Brain Control - pay 800 life points to take control of opponent's monster until the end of the turn. Trade-In - Discard 1 level 8 monster and draw 2 cards. Axe of Despair - Increases equipped monster's attack by 1000 ponts. Premature Burial - Pay 800 life points to get a monster from my graveyard. Fairy Meteor Crush - Equip to a monster to do direct damage to opponent's life points. Flash of the Forbidden Spell - use when opponent's monster card zone is full and destroy all their monsters. Monster Reincarnation - Discard 1 card and add 1 monster from the graveyard to your hand. Foolish Burial - Pick 1 monster from the deck and send it to the graveyard. Monster Reborn - Select 1 monster from my graveyard / opponent's graveyard and special summon it to my side of the field. Lightning Vortex - Discard 1 card to destroy all face up monsters my opponent has. Change of Heart - Select an opponent's monster to take control of the picked monster. Soul Exchange - Select a monster my opponent controls and tribute their monster. Effect Monsters: Herald of Creation - each turn I can discard 1 card to add 1 level 7 monster from my graveyard to my hand. Marshmallon - When an opponent attacks this card face-down they take 1000 damage, and the card can't be destroyed by battle. Crystal Beast Emerald Tortoise (x3) - Can change my attacking monster from attack to defense, and has a 2000 defense. Pitch-Black Warwolf (x2) - keeping it on the field makes my opponent unable to use trap cards during the battle and has 1600 attack. Homunculus the Alchemic Being - Can change the attribute of the monster once per turn and has an 1800 attack. Darkblaze Dragon - When special summoned from the graveyard it gains 1200 attack and 1000 defense; also when it destroys a monster it does damage to the opponent's life points equal to the destroyed monster's attack. Has an attack of 1200 and defense of 1000 (2400 attack and 2000 defense when the effect is activated). Black Tyranno - If my opponent has nothing but defense position monsters, this card can attack their life points directly. Attack of 2600. Ultimate Tyranno - If the card's in attack position at the start of battle, I have to attack all my opponent's monsters once with this card. Attack of 3000. Super Conductor Tyranno - Each turn, tribute 1 monster to cause 1000 damage to my opponent, but can't attack if that effect is used. 3300 attack. Monsters: Mystical Elf - 2000 defense. Giant Soldier of Stone (x2) - 2000 defense Alien Shocktrooper - 1900 attack Blue-Eyes White Dragon - 3000 attack Red-Eyes Black Dragon - 2400 attack Gogiga Gagagigo - 2950 attack So if you don't have anything nice to say, please don't say it. No flaming, bumping, cussing, harassing, or any of that stuff. If you have any good ideas of what cards to use, that would help. I'm really still new to dueling so I'm sorry if I sort of suck at this. gonk Well for starters there are some cards that are banned. I would suggest checking the official yugioh website for the list. www.yugioh-card.com Also you should try and redo the deck cause there is alot of random monsters in there. I would also suggest on sticking with a theme cause I see alot of random themes in there. Hope this helps. smile |

Seeing it's just a duel between family, it's not an official match. Also, it says that the strong monsters are thrown in on purpose as a theme. Well, just give it a few practice tries and pick whatever cards you want to exchange and replace. It's easier to just find out by trial and error. Interesting idea though, to both tribute summon and special summon at the same time. I would say that if all five slots were filled with monsters of that level while my field was left helpless, I'm sure you'd see me cry in terror and hide under the table. wink

A few things.
One: You do not need to post what the cards do... We know, and if we don't we can wiki or ask. It's unneeded clutter in a list where the list should be simple, precise and easy to peruse. Two: We have a format for posting decks. Please edit your first post into it. This format allows for quick easy browsing to see any obvious errors and to get a quick look at what your deck is composed of. The format is as follows: Monsters: # Marshmallon x 1 .... Spells: # Trade In x 3 ..... Traps: # Light of Intervention x 2 ... Extra deck and Side deck are optional and not always wanted or needed. But follow the same format. Doing so will likely get you more responses as, many will open it up.. See massaive wall oh text.. and be like, feh why bother sorting thru it. The format means quick glance. we see what you are doing.. and can then suggest. If you have requests on stuff.. ideas on what you are trying for or questions. You post them at the end of the list or the beginning. Three: Post what format you wish to play. Traditional or Advanced. If you are unaware of what is legal in what. First thing you should do is refresh your memory of the most recen banlists/limitations/semilimitations in the latest and current format. Four: Whether you play casual or competitive.. unless it's some home rule game.. you have to follow one of the lists or the other. Most of the players here, I warn you are competitve and use the advanced list. They are competitive players and all advice suggestions and what not will come from that mindset. But even if you don't plan to play competitively don't ignore the suggestions. Some while prodding and suggesting more competitive advice may also be helping you make the deck more efficient. Five: Playable decks [not just competitive or meta, but decks that do what you want them to do, and they do it every time] have to be consistent and efficient. Wether or not the deck type/style/archetype/strategy is competitive at the higher level is debatable or easy enough to decide.. it should at least be Efficient and Consistently repeatable in playablity. Some general deck biulding advice I give everyone. And this can hold true to 99% of decks out here. And you should consider when biulding a deck, especially from scratch. 1: Minimize Deck Size: Legal deck size is 40 to 60 cards. But smaller decks are better. Because there are better odds of starting/drawing into key things or needed cards sooner/before you need them. 2: Maximize Card Count: Don't run 1 copy if you can run 3. Key things to a decks win condition should be run in multiples. Why? Better odds of drawing or starting with it. Repeatablity if things are negated or destroyed before you can make use of it. When combined with a minimized deck size... your odds of doing what you want to reach the win are greater and more consistent. 3: Create Card Synergy: Choose cards that work well with each other. Monster/trap/spells.. and not just one shot combos.. but open ended combo chains. Searchers that can lead into multiple targets for various situations. Or cards that can combo with several different ones easily so your odds of using them are greater. Make sure to consider options in Tutoring [searching out cards to hand], Recruiting [SSing cards from the deck], and drawing when biulding your deck up. Some things will be obvious. Specific Archetypes [Crystal Beasts, Sea-serpents, Lightsworns, Gladiator Beasts, Aliens, Venom] often have obvious support and cards that 'should' work with them and in most cases it is true.. but not all the support is very good. But also look outside the support for more things that fit. General Archtype stuff. Like warrior cards, or dark support cards can be applied to other decks outside the usual. Allure of Darkness works great if you have a number of dark monsters in the deck. Trade In if you can run multiple level 8s. Things of that nature may take a bit more thought in finding. But they work quite well if applied properly. Reinforcement of the Army is a blessing in any warrior based deck. Be it Elemental Hero's, Ben-kai equip decks, or really any other deck that runs a large number of warriors or relies on key ones to do things. In that same vein, don't mix things together. Some things are just not compatible with each other. Crystal beasts for one should be kept seperate except in a couple instances. but mostly if you plan to use them it is either a Crystal Beast deck.. or you're trying a Haamon deck using some Crystal Beasts as part of the summoning engine to get it out. And that's it for the moment that I can think of. So...in short. Adjust your post to reflect the 'Unofficial' but generally considered proper format of a decklist. Remove the unnneeded card texts as we don't need them. Consider the deck biulding advice [and how well does your deck follow it?] and look at your deck. Answer these questions. How will it win, what is my win condition? [Is it superior field presence? Is it Burn damage? What??] How can I achieve that condition with the least amount of work? [Why do a 5 card combo to get it.. when a 3 card one can do it easier?] Do my card choices 'flow' together or are they more random.. will the deck work more off luck? or actual strategy in the design? [This last one, as you being fairly new, will be harder to figure out.. and if you can't answer it no worries.. many of us when starting out can't. Nor can we whentrying to create brand new decks outside the box.. until actually testing it out..] Remember K.I.S.S Keep It Simple Stupid Don't try to do too many things with the deck. The more you want to do with it. The more cards you have to use, the more likely things will get in each other way.. and the less consistent it will be, meaning it becomes more a game of luck and praying for what you want. As to the deck you posted. I'll withold saying anything major in the way of particular cards. Save read what I stated already.. and consider it... and once you have a rewritten first post ad list up.. I'll make some suggestions.. but consider strongly. How do you want the deck to win? EDIT: One more thing.. A bit of advice I just remembered for dealing with us here. We DO NOT KNOW or CARE what your card pool is. All suggestions are coming from what is available in the TCG as a whole. If you can don't have it. Look into trading/buying it. If it's obviously out of your price range or ability to get.. then ask, nicely, for suggestions on where to acquire it cheaper/easier.. or what you could do for substitutions.. |
