7/16" is my cut off for sure. I was gonna stay at 00, but because 00 jewelry is so varried in size acording to manufacturer... 7/16" is 7/16" no matter what way you look at it. So it's more for a standard measurement thing than anything else. TBH, I'm suprised I get away at 1 Gauge now.... But then again, I never wear tunnels to work. I always wear solid plugs so people can't really tell. |

Phlebotomy takes a little while to get comfortable with. It's kinda like learning to take a Blood Pressure.... It takes a little while to learn it, but once you get it... You GET it. |

Jagger-Wolf http://cdn2.kongregate.com/user_avatars/0066/1350/Angel_Wing_Left_Avatar_by_Falln_Avatars.jpgShe laughed a wicked laugh and said... Follow what you love. I never thought I'd want to get into the medical field, seeing as I HATE the general public. But I think this will be cool. If I can get into school, that is. It also says I am highly encouraged to take a medical terminology class. I can do that while I wait for the class to open up, if I need to. I also want to take a basic anatomy class or something, too. "Come here, let me clip your wings"http://fan.whiteplums.com/haibanerenmei/images/10_rakka.gif Anatomy is a MUST. and Medical Terminology will benefit you more than you'll ever know. If you know medical terminology, even if you have absolutely NO idea what a disease is, you can break it down into parts, and atleast have a general idea. And considering all charting is done with proper medical terminology... The more you know, the better you'll be like in a chart... It's not "nosebleed" it's Epistaxis. "middle ear infection" is Otitis Media (oto is the root for ear, itis is the suffix for inflammation.... Media is middle.... So inflammation of the middle ear) if you can get into a terminology and a A&P class, you'll be set. |

I've prettymuch narrowed down what I want to do to 3 fields... Hematology Infectious Diseases Emergency Medicine. I'm not sure what one I want to go full on into... But narrowing it down to 3 is a start. |

Jagger-Wolf http://cdn2.kongregate.com/user_avatars/0066/1350/Angel_Wing_Left_Avatar_by_Falln_Avatars.jpgShe laughed a wicked laugh and said... So I think I've decided what I want to do with my life. I'm going to take the phlebotomy class at my local community college, and then I'd like to work in a hematologist's office. 3nodding It would sate the vampire in me. But don't know if there are any hematologists in Seattle. O.o... "Come here, let me clip your wings"http://fan.whiteplums.com/haibanerenmei/images/10_rakka.gif I can say with almost 100% confidence that there has to be a hematologist in Seattle. If not a hemo's office, you could work at a lab. I would absolutely LOVE to work for labcorp or quest, or someplace like that.... Doing nothing but blood draws all day <3 either that or Injections. I'm pretty damn good with injections, and around needles in general. I'm looking into getting in with the hemo in my area after I graduat in march. |
