And just this past February, Americans wanted to stay in Afghanistan.

Give the country a few months, war-related polls fluctuate randomly and sporadically.

All obama's got to do is stay focused on petty s**t until the finals of American Idol. Then he's gold.
Did you miss when Obama rejected all troop increase proposals given to him? That was a major surprise and seems to indicate that we're on our way out of Afghanistan.

I bet behind closed doors, Obama wants to get the ******** out of the middle east. But won't come out and say it like he used to, because of the political ramifications. You can't go from an outspoken dissident of the war, to "it ain't so bad..." in a few months. He changed his tune immediately after he went into office.

Remember, he used to talk about single-payer healthcare frequently. He's suppose to be a very liberal president, that's what a lot of progressives were hoping for.
Which is why I think he will lose the next election. His liberal base and college students like myself that walked door to door on the weekends aren't going to be so apt to canvass and donate when we get slapped in the face like that.

And that is why you're a liberal, Light. No matter what, you always come back to party loyalty. We ride this teeter totter every eight years or so.

Blind allegiance to any political party is not a prerequisite for liberal thinking, actually. I'd say I'm close to liberalism, and I have no party loyalty whatsoever.

Actually, I think it has more to do with the fact that the 'liberal' parties are nowhere near liberal. You can't have allegience to a party when there are none that fit you.
There are several parties that are most definitely liberal. Or are you just talking major parties?
$6.4 billion in stimulus money spent in phantom districts? Go to post 31 Politics Wed Nov 18, 2009 6:12 pm
I find it odd how some people are legitimately comparing 100B in LOST funds to the money Obama has SPENT on programs. Even if you disagree with the programs, at least the money was put to use.

Bush LOST an amount of money that, in theory, could have paid for every college student currently enrolled (around 14 million people) to attend college for 4 years (assuming 8k a year for tuition).

Twice over.

do you think any action should be taken by the UN? If so, what action should be taken?
No.

I highly doubt that this is anything beyond rumor. If it were real, you'd bet we'd be hearing about it from almost every major news outlet possible (especially Fox). If it is real, I think it's a horrible idea.

Also, where did you hear this from? Because if you really do believe it, I'd hope you have a good source.

I'm a stratigy game player myself,

2000 rated Chess player,

(once) Top 50 WC3 Player, (once) Top 20 SC player

Well, I dominated at pretty much any strategy game. I suck at AoE for some reason though
Don't get me started on C&C or StarCraft.

lol pro gamers

The only thing pro gamers pay are CS 1.6, WC3, and madden. and other PC games
Madden is srs bzness, people get payed alot of money to play madden.
That's true, but my deep-seated hatred of sports games doesn't allow me to see it as being worthy of competitive gaming. lmao
I'm into NBA games. There are just so many nerds online though that smoke me because of NBA strategy and s**t.

I'm a shooter guy, it's all about reflexes for me.
Same. I'm into shooters or turn-based games (a la Pokemon). lol Weird mix, I might add. But Pokemon really does become an intricate chess game when you play with metagame strategies like EV training, IV breeding, etc. etc.
