What would change if marijuana were legalized? Go to post 80 Extended Discussion Thu Nov 12, 2009 2:45 am
The police would have to go after REAL drug dealers, we'd be more likely to be able to enjoy the substance without worrying its laced with something else, the taxes on it could improve the economy, and it would likely have similar restrictions/laws to alcohol. So really it could only make things better.

Well you got an answer. Exactly what you can do different to draw better is actually pay attention to those lessons about building up drawings with shapes first.
If you could skip one thing in your artwork.... Go to post 43 Art Discussion Thu Nov 12, 2009 1:27 am
The early process of backgrounds, I always get lost and redo and redo and redo, why can't they just come out looking decent with single stroke!? crying

Then why ask for anyone's opinion on it? Least of all artists?
What would you call this? Go to post 6 Art Discussion Thu Nov 12, 2009 1:24 am
The word "furry" has both a stigma and a subculture surrounding it, I'd be very careful about labeling what you draw.

Well first people will tell you this belongs in Picture Post. Second.. .eh.. why are you trying to deflect an honest answer with "I'm not used to drawing?" Anyone can see you have zero experience with drawing.

If you seriously, seriously, I mean for real now, want to get better, learn what construction/guide lines are. Learn to build up a drawing with shapes before drawing your final lines.
Question for all you tablet users out there. Go to post 13 Art Discussion Thu Nov 12, 2009 1:18 am
I've one had one tablet so far and it's ridiculously huge. On the plus side I have alot of room to work, I scan my work in large and work zoomed in most of the time. On the downside I can't sit comfortably and hold it in my lap if I wanted to and it's difficult to work with it upright or on much of an angle.
I FAIL at Drawing Animals Go to post 13 Art Discussion Thu Nov 12, 2009 1:15 am
Practice makes perfect. Study animals, really think about how they're put together, and sketch every single day.

Redliners please Go to post 8 Picture Post Sat Aug 01, 2009 1:06 am

A quickie redline. I just want to post it here because others can learn from it.

It seems to me you gave absolutely no thought to the structure of the body beneath the hair or the clothing, which is why the picture looks so flat and my redline is basically a redrawing.

A good practice is to try and get into the position you're drawing. Tilt your head onto your left shoulder and then try lifting your right. It kinda hurts doesn't it? Whenever you tilt your head in one direction the opposite shoulder with automatically lower.
