You're allowed to keep the smoking items that you have and equip them as you wish.

Liking Gaia is a requirement (Why would you want to volunteer copious amounts of time here if you didn't?). Hailing all words and actions from the staff as the unquestionable word of god is not a requirement.
It's also important to understand that while complete admiration for colored names isn't required, someone who runs around SF complaining copiously about the admins, devs, and/or mods while making gross, baseless and false assumptions about what goes on 'behind closed doors' is portraying an attitude that we don't like in moderators. If someone thinks all mods are lazy sheep, why would we want to work with them?

Removing people from training when it becomes apparent that they aren't mod material makes the system broken? Sounds like it works just fine to me.
