"Revolutionary Liger"
Going there, plane A was good, landed in Minneapolis about three minutes early. Plane B however was delayed over 45 minutes, then we got on, circled for several hours, refueled in Pittsburgh and were thrown off in Detroit for more fuel with a pilot saying f**k it it's been six hours we're going home. New York airports we're closed for some reason. So basically I was supposed to land like 1:30, ended up booking a hotel room at like 7:50 at night.

Going back missed my flight. My first and old experience changing planes, not a great one but the company was very nice with all my rebookings, and it got me a 100 NW airlines coupon.

Changing plane sucks indeed. crying

Now, you're reminding me of the time where I had to change planes twice to get to Florida...Luggage was lost by the time we arrived there.

I rather pay more and get a direct flight. D:
But alas, sometimes there's no direct flights.

Have you ever became sick while on vacation? Ran into trouble with customs? Had language barrier issues while abroad? Got lost while trying to figure out where you were on the map? Had a flight canceled and scrambling to get home somehow?

I'm sure a lot of us who have traveled, whether it's for business or for vacation, whether out of the country or even within the country, have good stories....and not some good ones. While traveling can be very exciting, it can also have unexpected bumps along the way that may or may not ruin a vacation.

Being sick while on vacation sucks. Really sucks. A few years ago, I was on a cruise in Europe and for the first 3 days, I ate bread with olive oil and vinegar. Then, in the middle of the night, I became really sick and needed to see a doctor. It also didn't help that the ship was sailing through the water. Good thing it wasn't the Atlantic Ocean and instead the Mediterranean. I ended up getting a shot and didn't wake up till 3 PM the next day plus a huge bill for the shot. As a result, I wasn't able to go outside to the port (which was Naples, Italy) for the majority of the time the ship was docked there. Being bedridden while on vacation is not a fun thing, I tell you! D:

If you have stories you would like to share, please do!
How many countries have you been to? Go to post 83 Gaia International Tue Sep 02, 2008 11:35 pm
I've been to a lot of places. Yay for cruises!!!

-Canada (Technically that doesn't count since I live there xd )
-US
-England
-Monaco
-Mexico
-Belize
-Venezuela
-A s**t ton of islands in the Caribbean
-Italy
-Vatican (Thanks R_is_here, almost forgot Vatican is its own country and not part of Italy xd )
-Turkey
-Spain
-Greece
-Japan
-China (HK and Mainland)

The only reason why I've been to so many countries is because I cruise a lot and it goes to various ports for less than 12 hours. The only countries I've been to that doesn't involve cruising is England, Japan and China. I could say the US, but I went on a cruise to Alaska. xp

I really hope to one day go to Australia. So far and expensive though D:
"I'm sorry, but where in the world is that country?!" Go to post 73 Gaia International Tue Sep 02, 2008 6:54 pm
*has been to Belize!!!*

However, I first thought it was a city on the eastern side of Mexico. >___>;;;

I learned it was actually a country when I actually visited there as one of the ports on a cruise I was on. xd

I'm now reminded of the Beijing Olympic opening ceremonies where they were announcing a lot of countries I've never heard of.
