AHMIGAWD. D:< 100% CPU windows XP... Solved. Thanks. :D Go to post 40 Computers & Technology Mon Apr 20, 2009 4:53 am
Nope. I'm thinking that's just a wrong disc... idk.

Anyways, now I'm getting this annoying "Windows Installer" that's flickering on and off my desktop. I can't open Start to shut it off from msconfig... so... fail.

I've figured it out, actually, but every time I run Malwarebytes and restart and everything, I still get 4 threats found on my computer... not sure if they're the same one, but I now need to find something that will delete things for good. AVG found nothing.

Ugh. Yeah, though I tried to restart with the disc in and it doesn't do anything so I think that's not the disk that I needed, or my computer is just going crazy and not doing anything about it...

I'm retrying old methods atm. D:<
I'm really considering Geek Squad or something, though it's really expensive...

I've read it twice. I would check for new drivers, except any window I open, closes after less than a minute.

Mmkay, I was just looking at that...

I have a CD for Windows, though I'm not sure if that's a recovery disk...?

I'll post my specs later... but I can't really do anything now as anything I open closes in less than a minute. =.=

If I do reformat, will it get rid of everything? All my information is on my exHD. o:

Frsking A... lovely.

Each program I open (Malwarebytes, Firefox, Task Manager...) is now closing within 30 seconds of it's open.

I honestly don't know what to do, I'm getting really frustrated. D:<

Edit: I'm going to sleep and shutting off my desktop... but in the morning, I'll check this thread out again. Any help would be amazingly awesome.

Rawr. Whenever I now restart, I get the Roxio Media Manager thing where it's wanting to install or update or something. I cancel it (it get's stuck anyways) and then it freezes as it says "canceling."

I don't think window's is ready to update as of yet...
Though I don't know how I can finish the window's update it as it seems like I can't get anything to complete in the state my computer's in.

Mm'kay. None of them are stuck at 100%.

@ trezoid: Task Manager, pretty much. And the msiexec.exe thing.

That's the thing. It's either System Idle Process or Taskmanager. :/

20% here, 10% there, 5% here, 25%..

EDIT: as well as msiexec.exe

What the crap and my Task Manager is arbitrarily deciding to close by itself. =.=
