Nassiral I don't think Alves will get a win, and if he does it'll be the kind of upset decision that will anger fans.
Alves is a strong striker, but isn't one to win on the ground. He managed to avoid getting tangled up and beaten by an aging Matt Hughes when he fought him...but if Alves couldn't put Koscheck away in 3 rounds without it going to decision, I don't think he has what it takes to beat St. Pierre. GSP is in his prime right now, and I don't think Alves will take him down. GSP has too well rounded talents to be dominated in one way or another.
Besides that...to call this the main event and not refer to the Lesnar-Mir rematch as the main event is ludicrous. This fight will be insane, with each of these guys looking to make a huge statement in their fight. Lesnar beating Mir (which I expect to happen) will cement him as the beast of that weight class, while Mir wants to prove he is the champ by beating Lesnar a second time.
I'm putting my money on Lesnar. His standup is phenomenal for someone with a background in wrestling, and we really haven't seen at all what kind of training he's been doing in the ground game. The Couture fight stayed in striking, and it's been 8 months since that fight...who knows what he ground game is going to be like if Mir tries to go for another submission win.
As far as Henderson and Bisping? No idea on that one. I like watching Bisping fight a lot, and I remember him having the best technique of TUF 3, but Henderson sure as hell is no joke. It'll be a good fight.
But look at Alves v Koscheck and GSP v Koscheck. Koscheck was getting his a** kicked by Alves. It was more of a positioning battle when it was GSP ... it will be interesting though ...

When The Dead Walk baka_boy1221 When The Dead Walk Can anyone call me some info on WEC's Flyweight division?
I haven't been able to find anything on it accept it was announced.
Yep that's it ... it has only been announced. Nothing more, nothing less ... it is kind of hard to get the Flyweights over here since most are in Japan already ...
Thanks i figured as much. Man i should try to get into that division.
You want to be a Flyweight? Wow ... don't see many of those ...

APinoySuperHero mma_chick1221 Trop.exe I think the weight cut might be harder on Carano because of having not actually been training for so long doing AG and promotional stuff, while Cyborg has been fighting. Cyborg is huge, the weight cut is going to affect her as it did in the last fight and if Carano comes in underweight I can see her pushing the pace, setting a high rhythm and gassing Cyborg out. On the other hand I could see Cyborg blowing through Carano like I would her panty drawer.
You are so perverted ... garsh ... but I can see your point ... we will have to see ...
Come on you cant blame a guy for thinkin about some pretty girls.
True ... can't blame you ... doesn't make it any less perverted though ... hehehe

baka_boy1221 Operation_Meth_Squash Trop.exe Operation_Meth_Squash I wonder, if I am the only one, who thinks that Alves will upset GSP in the main event at UFC 100.
I would believe so as Mir and Lesnar is the main event. Alves has a good shot at winning this though and I do not put it past him getting an early stoppage.
I disagree. They are Co-Main Events. Much as Forrest - Evans was Co Main Event with Nog and Mir at Ultimate '08 last December
On a side note, besides the fact that Alves can't seem to make weight against anyone. . . I think he'll give GSP a run for his money. Just look at Alves - Kosi and compare that to GSP - Kosi.
Alves is a big strong guy for a welterweight. He manhandled Parysian, Hughes, and Koschek. Sure there is the weight issue, but I don't think Alves is going to pull a Lutter ... he wants that belt ... we will all have to see what will happen ...
But GSP is also big as a welterweight ... I believe that GSP's technique will carry him to a win ...

The Crow was an incredible movie. Brandon Lee was actually engaged when he began filming. And he was taken away from his love ...
"Because we don't know when we will die, we get to think of life as an inexhaustible well. And yet everything happens only a certain number of times, and a very small number really. How many more times will you remember a certain afternoon of your childhood, an afternoon that is so deeply a part of your being that you can't even conceive of your life without it? Perhaps four, or five times more? Perhaps not even that. How many more times will you watch the full moon rise? Perhaps twenty. And yet it all seems limitless..."

APinoySuperHero baka_boy1221 mma_chick1221 I personally like Gina Carano on this fight. She is more well rounded than Cyborg. Also her muay thai isn't all that bad either. This will be a fight ...
I agree, Gina Carano is a more well-rounded fighter. Though I wouldn't call Santos a one trick pony, but with her muay thai highlighting her style, it just seems like that is the only part of her game (though we all know she has a solid BJJ game). Either way San Jose will be the host of history ...
You know I kind of see alot of Wandy is Cyborg. I like Wandy alot very aggressive and wont stop and until somebody drops. I havent seen that other girl but, from I can tell is she can strike and she has a ground game. xP
I going to enjoy this fight also, becuse of the camps: Xtreme Couture and Chute Boxe. Two elite gyms ... it is going to e interesting what thier gameplans will be ...

WittehDude I was watching the UFC for the Troops thing yesterday. Razak Al-Hassan or something got into an armbar, and it looked like his arm was twisted, then bent in the unnatural direction. Without a doubt, it was broken. I nearly puked. lol
That was a nasty armbar ... that why they call it snap or tap ...

baka_boy1221 Trop.exe Cyborg seems to be the heavy favourite in this.
I think it is because of her muay thai. Of course she does train at Chute Boxe Academy, so we should suspect that she has good muay thai. And also I believe that she is favored, because people believe that Gina Carano has been really hyped up, due to her being the "face" of women's MMA.
I honestly think that this is going to be a war. And the fact that the rounds are five minutes instead of three makes it even better. I'm going to enjoy ...
By the way I'm cheer for "Conviction."
Go Gina Carano
