Oh boy. People should really do a bit of reading, or even just thinking, before posting their ignorance for the world to see.
This isn't pokemon, we don't evolve from things. Common ancestors are shared, species diverge, traits are spread or lost, nothing evolves

Interestingly enough, the word "evolution" predates the pokemon-franchise. [/snark]

While having a... strange wording for it by saying 'we' don't evolve, he is pretty much right as it's explained.

Yes, he is.

I just think it's silly to dismiss the term "evolution" because it's been used in a franchise of video-games. It's like a girl touched a toy, so now it has cooties, and is no longer viable. razz

It's not a very important issue, just a matter of prefered technical term.
I'm just being snarky because his definitions don't match mine. smile

. . . Pointless conversation since were actually dicussing Natural Selection not evolution as a whole. Both are proven to occur though, need to get selection rates down but were close so. . . can we please just stop this mess, I'm tired of it. Everytime something happens that's new someone gets pissy, like when people got mad because "Medicine was cheating Blah-blah and an abomination." Bottom line; if your going to refuse one thing of science, you kinda have to refuse it all.

Like when the LHC thing was in the news and we had 20 topics devoted to it that all said the same thing? Yeah, it gets old. But some people just like to start sh't.
They don't seem to understand the cause/effect relationship between starting trouble and getting pummled.

The main room has a velociraptor five feet from a human child and they're both minding their own buisness. This seems wrong for multiple reasons, anyone want to list 'em for me?

-the dinosaur would kill the child
- Velociraptors died out millions of years ago, before humans became...well, humans
-America's government is pandering to useless organizations
-there's no proof...at all
-the museum makes no reference to the Flintstones
-their source says nothing about dinosaurs co-existing with humans, despite what Ken Ham says
-Ken Ham was involved somehow

...And many more!

I was going to say Velociraptor flu would have killed the child long before then...
