Mega Tsunami's done. it's rather one of the easier things to explain, because the facts of a tidal wave are one of the similar theories out there. Water goes FWOOSH. End of story there.

now for Planet X... UGH

Ooh, Planet X. Sounds mysterious. Is that the one they call Sedna? o3o And do hostile aliens live there or something?

Good work here, Ze. The Super Volcano was something I never heard of before. Now I know not to go there for vacations. Because, knowing my luck, that's when the thing would blow. x'D

no it's worse... much worse.... and Sedna's what i thought first about too when I started seeing the "Tenth Planet" theories again, but it all deals with a planet that was documented by the Ancient Sumerians. It's basically a comet planet that will supposedly cross paths with Earth's Orbit; either colliding with it, or pass near by causing a pole shift.

When i'm done typing out the actual theories be ready to role your eyes. it's so screwy i really just want to pass this one up and pretend like this theory doesn't exists, but i feel like if i don't write and disprove it i'm going to get some lunatic with no pants come rushing at my door at three in the morning yelling "REPENT! REPENT, YOU NON BELIEVER"

and yeah. Yellowstone's the big one. Which sucks because knowing about the volcano will probably keep me out of the west for like all of my life. it stinks too cause i have family out that way and they don't want to hear anything of it. *le sigh*

rofl What the hell, Ze??!?! Obsessed much?!
you. have. no. idea. XDDD
plus i read a lot when i'm unsure about topics. And the number one thing that have been spouting off more and more crack pot theories is 2012. So i read, look at documentaries, dig around a couple of myths here and there to actually understand the ideas that brought about the theories of doomsday, and feel a lot better so i can go to sleep at night and not have to worry every single waking moment about what's going to happen in three years.

I really hate to quote GI Joe, but knowing really is half the battle.

the rant on Nibiru is almost done. *gawd* i fell like i want to claw my eyes out for just reading and confirming information about this theory again burning_eyes

Whoa... *instantly loves this thread* that's really, really awesome stuff you got there. And you explain it so well too. Nothing cooler than accumulating knowledge about conjectural apocalypses. Thanks for doin' this. smile

No problem :3

Planet-X is finally done. gonk UGH i need to go wash my eyes out. burning_eyes
Also i'm not going to put up videos just yet. There are a lot of fake theory videos and i need to filter through them to find some decent material

0-o Cruel how?

i mean, yeah sure knowing what might happen can be considered a curse, and a lot of people are terrified about the ideas of 2012, but mostly every theory on this forum I'll be talking about, save the volcanoes and the pole shift because they really can happen (but maybe not in 2012) i'm going to be disproving at length with scientific fact. :3

I think if anything happens, it will be out of the hysteria of the people.

They will expect the end, and act as if it were the end, and the chaos that ensues will be the "end."

That's assuming anything happens in the first place. XD Natural disasters don't count. They're exactly what the title suggests- natural. "2012" is not going to happen.

Another Update: I'm at a friend's birthday right now so i'll continue this either later tonight and or tomorrow morning. sorry for the delay dramallama (plus i'd honestly rather do a bit more background searches on pole shift. beyond the pole shift effects, its actually a very complex theory)

and YES!!! Mass hysteria is bad~
Heck there was even a city in the Mayan Empire that committed a mass suicide slaughter because of the end of the long count. And this was back in 200 AD. XP
And if a Natural disaster did happen it be extremely ironical (like the Tsunami that hit India on Christmas a couple of years ago. Or the apparent asteroid that will hit Earth on 4-4-16 *Square root day*) the irony in the scenarios is really the main reason why i don't believe in 2012.
However some of the theories might happen in the near future. How near isn't really up to us, just how bad the Earth feels like being evil.

Does anyone else find it odd that a planet full of people that put off doing their laundry for a week are worried about an unlikely event 3 years in the future?
