I like steam punk. It's pretty rad.

Hmmm, I like the goggles and guitar from the pictures you posted and that's probably it.
xd
But the style does seem pretty interesting, actually.

Steampunk as a subculture

Because of the popularity of steampunk with people in the goth, punk, cyber and Industrial subcultures, there is a growing movement towards establishing steampunk or "Steam" as a culture and lifestyle. [6] [7]

The most immediate form of steampunk subculture is the community of fans surrounding the genre. Others move beyond this, attempting to adopt a "steampunk" aesthetic through fashion, home decor and even music. This movement may also be (more accurately) described as "Neo-Victorianism", which is the amalgamation of Victorian aesthetic principles with modern sensibilities and technologies. (The growth of which was presaged by science fiction writer Neal Stephenson in The Diamond Age).

"Steampunk" fashion has no set guidelines, but tends to synthesize punk, goth and rivet styles as filtered through the Victorian era. This may include Mohawks and extensive piercings with corsets and tattered petticoats, Victorian suits with goggles and boots with large soles and buckles or straps, and the Lolita fashion and Elegant Gothic Aristocrat styles. Some of what defines steampunk fashion has come from cyberpunk, and cyberlocks have appeared being used by people adopting a steampunk look.

"Steampunk" music is even less defined, and tends to apply to any modern musicians whose music evokes a feeling of the Victorian era or steampunk. This may include such diverse artists as Abney Park, The Dresden Dolls, Gravemist, Rasputina and Vernian Project.

I've been on a steampunk rampage the past couple of days. : )
But I've only found a couple of websites...

There's lots of good pictures here. And here, but it's not fashion, really. And I've just found this place, but it looks pretty decent. EDIT: Also there's some interesting stuff here. didn't really look through it... But the one labeled "Pretty hot asian guy in steampunk gear"... I found those dreadlock things selling on a website... I'll try to find it.

Also you can get some inspiration from steampunk-ish movies... I'd reccomend Treasure Planet [okay, maybe just if you like animated movies- but it does have some nice clothes] and Lemony snicket's Series of Unfortunate Events [pretty bad movie, pretty good clothes and atmosphere].
EDIT: List of steampunk works~

Lastly, just look at Victorian era clothes and just add rivets and gears. smile

"But Drawlight, who had begun to believe that if anyone had ever died of boredom he was certain to expire in the next quarter of an hour, found that he had lost the will to speak and the best he could manage was a withering smile."
Steam punk is the coolest s**t ever. <33

I'd like to try it sometime- only put my own twist on it.

Yeah there's music, like Vernian Process and Abney Park. It's pretty cool, kind of like industrial mixed with neoclassical or whatever.

That's the greatest thing about it, you can put whatever twist you want on it. You can go more cyberpunk and add dreds and stuff, or you can go more punk with the goggles and all, more old world style with historical clothes, etc. etc.
