I HATE when people just offer "advice" when it's not asked. It's like "If I wanted an opinion, I'd have asked for one." It just makes you look stupid.

Exactly. And I'll admit every once in a while I give my take on something when it's not flat out asked for first, but I usually say "Do you want to know what I would do?" before I get to it.

I've desperately wanted to approach people talking about getting pierced somewhere that uses guns, or are stretching wrong/wearing tapers.. just kinda "you're not supposed to wear those, are you?" "what size are you at/how long did it take you to get there?" then kinda bring up going too fast in a more concerned manner. not like WTF UR DOIN IT WRONG!

That's what I do, I always ask what size a person is stretched to and how long it took to get there.
The tattoo artist I'm going to for getting my ankle finished, he has beautiful 1" lobes, and I asked if that's what they were and how long it took.
His response:
"The right way, about two years or so."
Made my NIGHT.

[******** yes!!! I've gotten to a 2g in a little under a year. I seem to stretch and heal really fast, though. You can already see space between my ear and the earrings I'm wearing now. I'm ready to go to a 0 anytime, but will probably wait until after X-Mas, and see what kind of gift cards I get so I can use them online. 0 or 00 is my limit.

I've been stretching my ears for about five years now. (I'm 20 years old.)
They're only 1/2 an inch, though, haha. It's hard buying jewelry, it's always so expensive.
My goal is to reach an inch by the time I'm 25.

Sorry I've been away for so long. sweatdrop I've been busy this week. xp

But anyway.... My I stared stretching again, because I took them out for a while... And last night, I had some open hoops in, and was laying on my neighbor's couch and when I sat up, my earring caught on the pillow. sad My ear was infected this morning.

I've been cleaning it every two hours since...

unless you had yellow/green/spicy mustard colored discharge this AM...
It's probably just immense irritation.
Keep cleaning your ears regardless, and keep an eye on it...
But you probably just really irritated it.

Yeah... It's not putting out any kind of gross discharge... Just some clear water-y liquid, that is tending to dry a slighty yellow color...YUM... Crustys...

I guess you're probably right though. It's swollen and and the glands or what not in my neck are swollen and sore. sad But all I can do is just continue to clean it, either way. But it's been hurting all day. Dx blech.
