I'd like to make myself believe that planet earth turns sooloo ooo woo loo y.
It's hard to say that I'd rather stay awake when I'm asleep.
'Cause everything is never as it seems.

I have to agree with Lauren on the whole RN program being at least 3-4 years.
In my field [Nutrition], RD [Registered Dietitian] takes approximately the same amount of time.
Whereas, DTR [Dietitian Technician, Registered] is a certification that takes 2 years and can be achieved at a community college.
I'm assuming RMA/CMA is a similar ranking as DTR, as a DTR cannot do everything an RD can, within the most current Scope of Practice.

Because my dreams are bursting at the seams.

CMA/RMA's can do almost anything a RN can do.

We can take vitals, give injections, assist in minor office surguries, and administer select medications.

We work under the supervision of RN's, MD's etc,etc.

At our office (Primary care) I can do everything an RN can do, with the exception of administering maybe 2-3 types of medication.

Yeah, that's pretty much the same scenario for DTR's.
They can do a lot of things that an RD can, but they can't do a fair number of things unless under direct supervision of an RD.
And then there are a few things that a DTR just cannot do, whether an RD supervises or not.

I think it's short for Aurora Borealis (sp?) gems. They shimmer in oil streak-like colors.

Because i try to be nice..
i showed up at my boyfrinds house tonight, with the intention of bringing him food, and staying with him because he told me he was sick yesterday....

Well, that's all find and dandy, till he's not there.. So I call him.. where the hell are you?
"Im going to charlestown with the guys to take band pics tonight".
(Charlestown, WV.. It's a big casino with slots and horse races and s**t)

What a jerk... I'd have been pissed. Did he know you were coming over? But then that wouldn't matter anyway, because if you are REALLY sick you'd be home on the couch with tissues, cold medicine, a blanket, and some crackers. NOT playing outside in the cold!!!

Apparently one of my roommates had H1N1, but another roommate said she made it up. I was in Utah when she proclaimed this, but we'll see what happens over the next few weeks. She's afraid of dying. She's a perfectly healthy 27 year old, who just caught the flu. rolleyes

I hate s**t like that. Do band photos REALLY mean the end of the world? No. Can't they just photoshop him in or something? Or be like "Hey, he's really sick. Let's hold off until next week on the pictures, everyone just practice more until then." Really... I wonder about people sometimes.
