The Report Button and You

->These shiny buttons love to be touched when there are some threads that are bad. THINGS MIGHT NOT GET DONE IF YOU DON'T REPORT THEM. IF YOU LIKE SPAM, CONTINUE TO NOT REPORT. IF YOU WANT IT GONE, REPORT. Please?
-> Once reported please leave threads be, it is unnecessary to post things like "reported" in a thread, as it is simply spam.

So what can I report?

-> Threads covered in Official Threads
-> Threads on specific songs
-> Lyricism threads
-> Threads on groups unrelated to subforum (Simple Plan, GC, etc.)
-> Spam
-> Flaming (aka: any and all "beef" wink
-> Trolling (aka: LOLZ RAP SUKZ!!!)
-> Harassment/abuse

What can't I report?

-> Swearing
-> Very old threads with no recent reply
-> Your opinion on a thread
-> You asking mods for gold/friends/items/cyber/etc.

Reporting things like these can get you warned and even banned, so watch out.

I feel like being complex and don't want to use the buttons! Who do I contact? How?

Announcement: No Tolerance

Warning Hate Threads Will NOT Be Tolerated

This subforum was created to give people who enjoy rap and hiphop a place to go and discuss it and for people who are not familiar with the genres to learn more about it.

It was not created as a home for everyone who wants to make a thread just to rant and bash rap music.

If you don't like rap, fine. However, there is exactly nothing constructive about making any of the following threads:

"I hate rap"

"Rap isn't music"

"Rap sucks!"

"Rap=retards attempting poetry"

"Can't spell Rap without Crap"


Please respect the subforums. While Gaia encourages you to express your opinions, please do so in a manner condusive to creating a discussion that is open to other opinions and viewpoints.

Trolling and abuse are a violation of the Gaia Terms of Service. Making a thread specifically to piss people off about the genre of music they like and to get them to flame you, and in doing so create a flame war, will not be tolerated. Troll threads will be deleted and the creators warned. Repeat offending puts your account at risk.

So don't make these kinds of threads and if you see them, PM a link to them to an online mod, explaining why you are doing so.

This forum was not created to be a pit of rap hate, and it will. not. become one.

No Tolerance for Battle Threads

Freestyle and Battle threads do not belong in this forum. the only lyricism threads allowed here are the ones that are stickied. Those are also subject to removal should they become spamfilled.

All lyricism threads made after the initial bans on said threads will be moved into the poetry and prose forum, and warned for spam. Multiple warnings for spam and other offenses will result in Banning from Gaia.

Failure to read this will not make you exempt from it.

->On the misconseption that threads using the official title aren't official. User made threads that have not been approved by mods, are not official. There are in fact several of these in this forum, however these are generally on bands/artists that get few repeat threads in the first place and don't really require official threads.

This does not mean that these threads are not official. What it does mean is please ask a mod to "Officialize your thread." Do not simply tack an official to the topic. Also ask the mod to post in it saying that it is the official thread.

Please don't falsely label your thread as Official as the mods will warn for spoofing.
