Honestly I probably wouldn't even have to think twice about it. It it's in the script it's in the script. plus going to beauty school has really helped with my body confidence. We have to strip off all the time in front of the whole class. So I guess I'm used to it. ha |

Forest_Sage_Saria Depends on if I agree with the message and writing of the script. Also depends on how desperate for stage I am. Everyone keeps talking about 'tasteful' or 'well written', Scenes etc. What if there isn't a script? What about Devised, Performance art or Post-Dramatic works? Feminist theatre? I study performance at University and I have only done one text based work in two years, but I have seen so many bits that nudity isn't even an issue. People get naked all the time, dance around, sing, jump, shower, get covered in blood, get murdered, have sex. They don't even get paid for it at uni. I think that being uncomfortable and challenging yourself is part of learning and developing your craft. How can you know what you can do if you never do it? The body is a tool. A sign system. Your body is written by societal values. whee |

I dont think I would... No I wouldn't, at this particular point in time, if anyone handed me a script with that, I'd get them to change it, or wear a skinsuit or something. I would maybe go with a little skimpy, but only if it was absolutely ESSENTIALLY NECESSARY for the show, if not, I would not do that scene, and they'd have to replace me.

I probably would. I wouldn't ENJOY it. But you have to do what the director says. If he says 'jump' you say 'how high?' When he says 'dye your hair' you say 'what color?'
