By popular demand, we've been working hard to make it easier to find Gaia Cash cards in stores near you. We've made some major progress recently, and our cards are now on the shelves of thousands of stores across the nation.

If you're one of those on-the-move Gaians who needs to grab a quick fix of Gaia Cash while shopping for semi-frozen beverages and exciting trucker pills, you can grab $10 Cash cards in all 7-11 locations in the USA and $10/$25 cards at all Speedway stores.

A while back, we released Gaia Cash cards in 25 mysterious small-town Wal-Mart stores. We're pleased to report that you no longer have to trek to Woonsocket to grab your Gaia Cash: $10 and $25 Cash cards are now in over 1,500 Wal-Marts across the country, and they should be in every US Wal-Mart store by the end of the year.

Gaia Cash cards are now on shelves at Target stores across the US. Getting Monthly Collectibles and Gaia items is simpler than ever: just waltz into a store, plunk down some bills (or a giant jar of pennies) and walk away with some sweet Gaia stuff.



If you pick up a $25 Gaia Cash card at Target, we'll throw in a bonus gift: the cuddly Kaya the Cat, pictured above. This feisty critter is a Target exclusive!

Target Card Q&A

Getting a Card:

• I went to Target and I couldn't find the card!
  Though the official release date for the Gaia Cash cards was the 15th, some stores may not have them on the shelves until the end of the week. It might be a good idea to give your local Target a call before you go in, just to make sure they have the cards in stock.
  
  
• Where can I find a Target store?
  Target has over 1500 locations in the US. To find a Target near you, visit their Store Locator.
  
  
• Blargh! There's no Target in my town!
  Dang! We hope to offer Gaia Cash cards in other stores soon, so perhaps Cash Cards will find their way to you one day. In the meantime, you can always get Gaia Cash the old-fashioned way: by ordering it over the internet.
  
  
• I don’t live in the USA. Is there no hope for me?
  Being a US-based company, it's very difficult for Gaia to put things in stores in other countries. For now, Gaia Cash cards are only available in the US. Gaia is actively looking for ways to expand to other countries, so keep an eye out for international stuff in the future.

Using your Card:

• I got my card… now what?
  To extract the Gaia Cash from your card, you'll need a scalpel and a citrus juicer. No! Just kidding! Simply head over to www.gaiaonline.com/redeem/ and enter the code on the back of the card, and the Gaia Cash (and any bonus item associated with the card) will be added to your account automatically.
  
  
• Can I buy Monthly Collectibles with my Gaia Cash?
  But of course! To buy a Collectible with your Cash, visit www.gaiaonline.com/collectibles and click the "Get 'em!" button. Add one or more Collectibles to your cart, then proceed through the payment process. When asked how you'd like to pay, select "Gaia Cash" from the list of options.
  
  
• How do I use Gaia Cash in Shops?
  Just visit Gaia's Shops like you normally would. Click on an item, and then click the button that says "buy with cash."

Bwahahahaha! Prepare to be dampened within an inch of your life, friends!

Summer's almost over, but we're not letting it go without a fight! Gaia's getting ready to celebrate the last days of sunlight with a massive water balloon war, and we practically demand that you take part.

Let it be heard by all: Gaia Online shall host the biggest virtual water balloon fight of all time. This will be one of the hugest events in Gaia's history, with new items, a new forum game, new stuff to do in Towns and a great big update to Gaia's storyline. Yow!

You can prepare for the epic water battle by stocking up on water balloons. This week, we'll be giving away water balloons in the Daily Chance. If you're not content to rely on mere fate, you can get a head start on your balloon collection by inviting your friends; for every friend you invite this week, you'll get 30 free water balloons!*

*worry not, friendless folk: there will be plenty of balloons available once the event starts, so don't fret too much if you haven't invited anyone!

No, you can't start pelting people with your balloons just yet. You'll have to wait for the Summer Festival to start, on Monday, August 27th!

Good news for Verizon subscribers: now you can use your phone for more than just prank calls and takeout orders! Gaia's phone payment system now works for Verizon customers, so you can quickly and conveniently buy Monthly Collectibles and Gaia Cash with your home telephone.

To buy stuff over the phone, simply select the "Home Phone/DSL" option during the checkout process. After some simple setup, you'll be ready to go!

We know that many of you saw the announcement bubble come up and were thinking "this is it, they're finally releasing the Enchanted Titanium Showerhead Set!" and were faced with profound disappointment when you realized that it's just an update to the phone payment system, but please try to understand: somewhere out there there's a Verizon subscriber who's just been dying to use the phone payment system. He's been sitting there in his bathrobe, trembling and sweating, skipping meals, losing hair, waiting with his hand on the dial for the day we FINALLY announced this. This is his day in the sun, people, and you'd be real clods to begrudge him his one moment of pleasure. Okay!?

Bwahahaha! A change in Gaia's navigation? It's none of my concern, since I navigate through life guided only by my masculine sense of purpose and the solid-gold compass of capitalism! But maybe you should read this...

Hello, Gaians!

In the coming months, we'll be making gradual changes to the site's interface to make it better looking and easier to navigate. The first of these changes is an overhaul of the site's navigation links and notification area.

Instead of the old notification buttons, you'll now see a little thought bubble showing your new private messages, announcements, pending trades, etc. Here's what it looks like:



We've also removed the row of "quick launch" buttons, but have no fear! You can now navigate quickly and easily with the links in the light blue row at the top of the page. When you move your mouse over them, a menu will open showing all the navigation options under that link (for example, if you move your mouse over the Community link, you'll see links for Forums, Guilds, Arenas, Marketplace, etc.).

We hope this makes things a little easier!

Oh, a message from the admins... Bwahaha! Item arranger? I don't need an item arranger! I have a full-time staff of maids who cater to my every whim! But maybe you'd be interested, since you're... ahem... less fortunate than me...

Ready for a little spring cleaning?

Ha! Did we scare you? Don't worry, we're not talking about real-life cleaning, so there's no need to emerge from your comfortable pile of pizza crusts and old socks. We're talking about something much less terrifying: cleaning up your Gaia inventory.

We've massively upgraded our Inventory Arranger, so you can easily arrange the order of your items, move items to storage to reduce clutter, place items in your home, and see your entire inventory at a glance.

Here's a rundown of the new features:

• Larger windows: see more stuff!
  
  
• Icon and detail view: choose from a detailed list that shows the item's name, value and item type, or view your items by their icons.
  
  
• Sort by name, value, or type: you can view your inventory in alphabetical order, by equip type, or even by its gold value.
  
  
• Search: find your items easily with the search bar.
  
  
• Tabbed interface: use a convenient tab system to view only your game items or housing items, only your avatar items, or all items at once.
  
  
• Easy item sellback: you can sell your items back to the stores quickly and easily.
  
  
• Auto-save: your changes will be saved automatically, so you won't lose your work if you accidentally drop your computer in a bottomless pit whilst arranging your items (don't jump in after it; it's a rookie mistake).

Go ahead and arrange some stuff! To access the arranger, click the image of your avatar on the top right corner of the screen, then click the "Organize My Inventory" button.

Happy anniversary, everyone! We're thrilled to be celebrating four awesome years of Gaia, and we've set up some special stuff for you to enjoy:

First, check out the brand-new Gaia Newsroom! You can catch up on every detail of the plot by reading the Manga and Cindy Donovinh's news articles. Best of all, you can read every single "HILARIOUS" weekly comic.

After you're caught up on the plot, take the Gaia Plot Quiz! If you know your stuff, you could win some explosive anniversary items. Just remember: DON'T PUSH THE RED BUTTON. Taking the quiz is the only way to get the anniversary event items... you can't get 'em by bumping!

If you'd like to celebrate the anniversary with all your Gaian friends, hang out right here in the Gaia Anniversary Ball, where everyone will be posting about how much they love Gaia and how great it is, and the admins will be reading it with tears of joy streaming down their faces.
