I've got Jackson over the Queen of Mean.

Yeah, I think Jackson is most likely going to win, but I wouldn't count Jardine out. After all, he did manage to beat Chuck Liddell. I'm also hoping Gabriel Gonzaga wins his fight.

I think it's because Lesnar is new(and from the WWE) so they give him the spotlight. Maybe, an effort to help gain more fans? I'm not sure...but he has said that he doesn't feel like he's earned the belt so he probably feels the same way as the fans do. It's true that Mir did beat Lesnar, but either way, they still would have had to unify the belt.

Jardine defeated Chuck because his fighting style is the same. I haven't seen him do anything different since the fight with Wanderlei ... a spinning backhand ?! Ooh ! That's different lol Even his strikes are predictable after a while.

I think Brock Lesnar's run was more of a marketing ploy from Zuffa. He didn't earn his way up the ladder like Dan Henderson and many others in Pride did.

Now this is a picture of a champion that earned his belts:

Are you saying Chuck's fighting style hasn't changed? I wasn't sure what you meant at first...I thought you meant Chuck and Jardine had the same fighting style. In Chuck's defense, I would say he really hasn't needed to change his fighting style...he's done fairly well for himself up till recently.

As for Brock Lesnar, he's a fairly unique fighter...at least when it comes to his build I mean. You don't see many fighters like him. I think he has a lot of potential. A lot of fighters in the UFC had to fight their way up the ladder. Look at Frank Mir, he originally held the Heavyweight title until it was stripped from him during his motorcycle accident. He came back from that and managed to fight his way back to the top...I would say he's earned it.

Last night I attempted to overdose on Nyquil and I took more than half of the 295ml bottle. Later during the night, I woke up and had to throw up. I was just wondering if I'm going to be alright?(I know you're probably thinking why the hell are you asking us, we're not doctors, but I don't know who to ask). I'm also worried my mom might notice the Nyquil is missing...any suggestions as to what I should I say or do?
Should I join the navy? (mature [17+] answers only) Go to post 66 Lifestyle Discussion Sat Jan 31, 2009 6:47 pm

That's only because only select Navy MOS's (rates?) get deployed to land.

Basically, only medics and MI sailors see land combat.

I find it funny that we have the higher death toll but everyone says the Marines is the more dangerous job. rofl

I see what you mean, but there are more Army personnel deployed in support of the wars than there are Marines. So army numbers are going to be bigger anyways. Marines are just full of themselves so yeah, they will brag about having the most dangerous job, but they don't nearly deploy as long as the Army.

Aren't the Marines the first ones to go in though?

I was thinking about joining the Navy too, but I'm not really sure. I think the best advice is to talk to people who are close to you and ask them what they think about it.

So, how bout that Fedor! surprised

I've never actually seen him fight before, but I do know he's considered the best pound for pound fighter in the heavyweight division so he must be good.

OMG DID U GUYS SEE THE FRANK MIR VS. NOGERA FIGHT??? IT WAS A PAPERVEIW IT WAS A DISSAPPOINTMENT FOR ME BC MIR WON I WANTED NOGERA TO WIN..MIR WONT BEAT LESNER THO!!!

I was watching a clip of some of the highlights of that match today. I like both Frank Mir and Noguiera, but I was kind of bummed Noguiera lost the match too. I'm rooting for Mir in his fight against Lesnar. He's already beaten him once and I'm hoping he'll be able to do again.

I'm a bit nervous this upcoming Affliction. But I have faith in Fedor.
I'm also hoping GSP beats Penn.

Who's Fedor fighting? GSP Vs Penn should be a good match...I think I'm rooting for GSP too.
