Robotic Seahorse hellosara Stop Him hellosara Not amazed by the steampunk one - why would you want your guitar to look like something beaten up you found in a pile of junk? Steampunks do make some very pretty s**t though. Why would anyone buy a pair of jeans brand-new from the store that are already faded and ripped? Fashion is a strange thing. That said, I kind of like the distressed-technology look, but I'd be more inclined to go for something like that guitar if any of that stuff actually affected the sound in a significant way... Do you know what I don't get even more? 'Distressed' guitars that are completely brand new but made to look like they're knackered. They just look stupid to me. I mean, fair enough if your instrument is old and beaten up, but why would you want the thing to look like it's been through the wars when it hasn't? Like those fender road-worn bull shits? he would pay for a guitar that just looks ******** up? we're supposed to ******** it up ourselves v.v You should play one and realize how sexy they are. Plus, a lot of people like that kind of look, but don't have the time/expertise it takes to properly distress one. If you just throw a pair of keys at it day in and day out, it'll look like s**t and possibly ******** it up one way or another (could hit neck and cause it to chip, for example.) |
