Welcome to the Music Forum!

The Music Forum is for discussing topics related to music from metal, jazz, to independent, or international. You can post your favorite or least favorite bands, artists, genres, anything regarding music!

Please be sure to follow the Terms of Service and Rules and Guidelines here, as in all forums.

• Flaming: Flaming is not allowed under any circumstances. Flaming is insulting, name-calling, or other abusive behavior towards another member. Flaming will result in your post being deleted and a warning issued.
  
  
• Copyright Infringement: Posting links to downloads or sites that are posting copyrighted material is against the Terms of Service. Doing such will result in post/thread deletion and a warning.
  
  
• Spamming: Posting nonsense, chatter, bumping, or off-topic threads/posts is considered spam and is only allowed in the chatterbox. Posting spam will result in a thread move and a warning issued.
  
  

If you find Terms of Service violations, or threads that may need moved to a different forum, please use an appropriate report. The procedures for doing so can be found here.

You can find online moderators by following the "View Forum Moderators" link at the top of the forum.

Gaia Staff will NEVER ask for your password! If anyone asks you for your password, report it.

Forum Guidelines

• Please keep all threads on-topic. Failure to do so will result in the thread being moved.
  
  
• Threads in the Music forum should be discussable. Please read the discussion guidelines for tips on making a discussable thread.
  
  
• Threads just linking to profiles, VJs, Youtube, etc, rarely create discussion and will be moved to the chatterbox.
  
  
• Threads that are repeats, such as threads that already have an official thread or a sticky, will be moved to the recycle bin. The Stickies are:
  -Apples vs. Oranges: All 'versus' topics belong here!
  -What are your favorite bands, songs, artists, genres, etc?
  -What bands, songs, artists, genres, etc, do you hate?!
  
  
  
• "What are you listening to?", "What do you listen to you when you ___?", or other threads of that nature will be moved. Please use this thread:
  -What are you listening to?
  
  
• The Music forum has 8 Subforums made for more specific discussions. The subforums are:
  -Soundtracks and Musicals
  -Classica/Jazz/Blues
  -International
  -Independent Music
  -Metal
  -Rap/Hip Hop/R&B
  -Electronic
  -Country/Bluegrass/Folk
  
  
• In Addition to the music forum subforums, there is a subforum for Gaian's own Musicians to discuss their own works or instruments:

Discussion Standards

Threads with little to no discussion value or content will be moved to the chatterbox. As well, topics that can be covered in the official threads or stickies will be moved to the recycle bin.
Making a thread flashy with images and formatting is nice, but it is not needed to make a discussable topic.
