So, stopping Hitler wasn't a good thing? neutral
Oh, and America gaining independence from Great Britain wasn't any good, either, right?
And keeping the Union together, and ending slavery in the US, not good either?
As much as I dislike it, war has done some really good things.
I don't support pointless wars, but some are necessary.
I never said that stopping Hitler wasn't a good thing. Hitler was one man who influenced many, am I right? If you extinguish the main source, the fire won't spread. Of course many wars are thought through and the reasonings behind them I'm sure are very understandable. Why it is an option, though, is beyond my imagination. So many people have to die, and it isn't just the destructive people. The innocent die also.
America gaining independence. Ah, yes. The Revolutionary War. Of course taxation without representation is terrible. Of course the American people (or white colonists I should say, because the other races didn't count) felt oppressed. Terrible. But a
war.
Does it seem unjustified to anyone else?
And the Civil War. Abolishing slavery is right and it is just. I'm just having a hard time with this concept: Who has the
right to end another person's life?
War has never done good things. It's always terrible, no exception. The mass killing of people? How can anyone call that good? If people would spend time thinking out other solutions,
war would never be necessary.
