Absolutely nothing.

'War. It ain't nothing but a heartbreaker,
War. It's got one friend-- that's the undertaker.
War has shattered many a young man's dream,
Made him disabled, bitter and mean,
Life is much too short and precious to spend fighting wars these days.
War can't give life, it can only take it away.'

What have you to say? Do you agree with me or not?

I want opinions. Let's talk about this.

So, stopping Hitler wasn't a good thing? neutral
Oh, and America gaining independence from Great Britain wasn't any good, either, right?
And keeping the Union together, and ending slavery in the US, not good either?

As much as I dislike it, war has done some really good things.
I don't support pointless wars, but some are necessary.

KK so liek...

Boredom.
Running the country can get very boring, you know.

Aaaaand, that's what happened.

Bulimic rainbows vomit what ?
Coconut pupils never shut ?
Sea shells scream celestial code;
Melt on the shore in a flame snowglobe. <3
Population control. That's what war's good for.

And don't try pulling the "Hilter / genocide" crap on me. I'm a Nietzsche-Darwinist. If I wasn't Jewish, I don't think I'd have any problem with the Holocaust. But because I am a part of the Jewish community, and communities will always compete with one another, I have to side with us for my own self-interest and the interest of my "pack." (Humans are naturally herd animals, you know.)

Sometimes you have to fight for change.
The wars that did GOOD are examples of that.

War is an effective method
of cleansing out the gene
pool, seeing as the people
who volunteer for the army
are pretty ********
retarded.

I agree. What I think about those changes that only happened with wars is that they exist because people are sellfish. They don't accept to change something that will help other people, but will not be so good for themselves. If the humanity started to think as only one group instead of millions, the world would be much better. People don't need to believe in the same things, but to respect the ideas of the others and not to hurt each other.

I never said that stopping Hitler wasn't a good thing. Hitler was one man who influenced many, am I right? If you extinguish the main source, the fire won't spread. Of course many wars are thought through and the reasonings behind them I'm sure are very understandable. Why it is an option, though, is beyond my imagination. So many people have to die, and it isn't just the destructive people. The innocent die also.
America gaining independence. Ah, yes. The Revolutionary War. Of course taxation without representation is terrible. Of course the American people (or white colonists I should say, because the other races didn't count) felt oppressed. Terrible. But a war. Does it seem unjustified to anyone else?
And the Civil War. Abolishing slavery is right and it is just. I'm just having a hard time with this concept: Who has the right to end another person's life?
War has never done good things. It's always terrible, no exception. The mass killing of people? How can anyone call that good? If people would spend time thinking out other solutions, war would never be necessary.

War = population control? Wow. First off, war is not always voluntary with the other party. That's murder. People have souls, you know.
Population control should not happen through war. It should happen by people thinking responsibly and using birth control.

War gives us technology much more faster than when we are peace

also its a effective method of population control

it will also prepare us for when we become a interstellar Empire where Weakness = extinction.

The people fighting in the wars are usually volunteers. If they die, it sucks, but they signed up for it.
Innocent people die, and it sucks, but you can't change things without sacrifice.

War is an instinct. Look at what we do at the dinner table over the last piece of steak, or over something someone else said or did to us. We argue, we fight, we stand up for what we believe in. War is just that on a mass scale.

War is never going to not happen, because everybody thinks differently, and sometimes in order to keep your way of life intact, you need to fight.

I'm not really sure what you're trying to say here. People are coming up with new technology every day. It does not take a war to create better technology, unless, of course, you're talking about weaponry. But such weaponry would not ever be needed if there were not a war to begin with. Once again, if people think responsibly about Earth's population, they would think about using birth control. It is voluntary, where war is murder.
And when we become an interstellar empire, let me know.

yes but things what sound really silly and will never work would get a chance if there was a war on

like the jet engine or the computer

sure we might of had them anyway but at a far later date.
