I am going to use an example from my own family just to show you that just because they're your family doesn't mean they tell you everything.

I am the only one out of my siblings that know about my mother's abortion. I am the only one of my siblings that was told about my parents keeping my little brothers remains (his ashes) after the still birth. I was the only one to see the pictures of his dead, tiny body. I am the only one in our family that knows that they even have it. I am the only one that my mother admitted to that it wasn't just an accidental over dose, but that she really was trying to kill herself. I am the only one that knows that my mother's first born wasn't her husbands. I'm the only one that knows some of the ungodly things they've done when going through their financial slump. I am the only one out of my siblings that knows how many "breaks" they took during the beginning of their relationship and how many times they almost separated. Some things are too personal to tell just anyone. Even if it is family. They've never told other family members these. The ones that know were there. They never even came close to bringing these up to my brothers. I'm not even sure why they told me.

Oh yes. Ignore reason. That sounds very good. :/ It may seem like we're gang up on her, but she's ignoring all the words we've said. Just saying "it's not going to happen" doesn't make it not happen. KNOWING what to avoid or preparing yourself for the hard spots will. Being mature and looking beyond just your feelings is really important when you're serious in a relationship. You can't survive off of love alone and the honeymoon phase will die like it does in every relationship.
