It's strange that a Halo 3 sticky is almost invisible. I would've expected this thread to be in the 20's or 30's at least by now, but oh well.

To keep this relevant, I just can't believe how fun hunting Scarabs are. I wish there was a game mode to fight just scarabs with vehicles everywhere like Hornets and s**t, it would be awesome. 8D

Halo 3 is like halo2 with new weapons and better graphics so after I got just about all the achievements I took it back and bought pizza with a little extra money left.

I suppose so, I don't really find multiplayer all that appealing right now. I think once I have a good grasp on playing the game in general I'll move into some multiplayer, but I really want to get some good Forge games going. Right now my goal is to drop a Scorpion on someone and kill them. *w*

He's right. We are all off playing halo. I'm only on to ask if any of you have the marathon man achievement. I've been to all seven terminals, read everything, and done beat the level. Done it TWICE. Still don't have the damn thing.

Been there done that. It was lol. He was trying to kill me as the monitor and I had 2000 x damage resistance and a 4 x overshield. I was just sitting there then BAM tank right on his a**. He came back and was like "OH YOU LITTLE DOUCHE BAG!"

Another thing I want to do is have big dog fights with Hornets and Banshee, it's just too bad you can only have so many on a level. As well, the ships would probably be destroyed so fast it wouldn't make for much game play. sweatdrop

Hornets > Banshees because Railguns > Lasers and missiles > boost.

General question concerning the storyline. Wondering if anyone has answers/theories on this. The following will be in white text:

So at the end of the game, the portal closes too soon and snaps the Forward Unto Dawn in two. Cortana and Cheif are left stranded in a cut off portion of the ship and Cortana does warn that even with a becon it might take "years" for them to be found. This being the case, the hindquarters of the Dawn would still be in the same sector of space as The Ark.

Now, obviously the humans didn't know the location of the Ark. Secondly, exactly how would the humans manage to find them even if they caught the becon's signal? At the Cartographer, Gulity Spark informed Cheif that the Ark was located "2 to the 18th lightyears from Galactic Center". That's over 200,000 light years from the center of the Galaxy. In comparison the estimated diameter of the Milky Way is only (at maximum) 100,000 lightyears, and our sun is something like 26,000 lightyears from the galaxy center.

And considering how freaking far away that is (we're talking lightyears here), I would imagine that the time it would take for the becon's signal to get to earth would take centuries.

So... how is Cortana figuring that UNSC will 1. Get the signal, and 2. Be able to travel that far to pick them up in a few "years"?

The only answer I can make is that one of the human outposts will catch the signal, or maybe the elite ships will happen to get the signal while they're heading back to their homeworld. If neither of those answers satisfy you, then magic.

i dont understand u guys and ur Halo 3. it's just a game. there's no need to go freakin insane!! as a girl, i dont usually play shooting games or war games or watever it is, but i just want to point out that it doesn't seem that great to me.

My boyfriend camped out for that game the day it came out and ever since i hardly have seen him. He'll sleep in class and he gets cranky with me. he told me not to call him because he'll want to play. I even asked him if he had to choose between the two of us, Halo or me, he just told me that it was too hard of a question!! He fianally tore himself from the game today to see me, and still, thats all he talked about!! crying

I'm not dissing your game or anything and i'm not calling u geeks or nerds, im just saying dont get crazy with it and neglect ur girlfriends! xp

Hornets > Banshees because Railguns > Lasers and missiles > boost.

Banshee's still have their fuel rod cannons. It don't lock on, but it hits had enough.

in white INDEED I was thoroughly shocked the old b*****d had a fight in him. I sorta laughed at how now the Keys legacy is ended. Great part to me. I liked when Johnson went BOOM! HAHAHA. Sucky last boss sad
