An Unknown Kunoichi I've been wondering... what does 'Clair Obscur' mean? Obscure Claire? o.O Litterally speaking, "clair" means "light / bright" and "obscur" means "dark". So a litteral translation would be "bright dark" (in French the adjectives usually come after the noun, but sometimes --- like in this example --- they come before). "Clair obscur" is a photography technique consisting in creating sharp contrasts between light and dark areas. In English we use the term "low key", or the Italian translation "chiaroscuro". You can use that term to describe a painting too. Miss Jenjen, I've got two requests please :] 1 - could you update the banner to my thread as I made a new one : 2 - would you model for me ? xD I mean, could I save your avi and use it for a sample banner, the style and colours of it would look good on a banner I made. I just wanted to ask first if it would bother you. I'd show you when it's done, of course. I've been making a lot of banners recently, and I was thinking of opening a mini-shop to sell premade graphics (banners and thread layouts) --- but it might take a while as it takes a long time to set up. |
