Statistics show that children from
fatherless households tend to not do as well as those who do have the traditional two-parent household. In addition, problems like
adolescent pregnancy seem to be extenuated for girls who do not have fathers in their lives.
Now, with this being said, I want to emphasize the point that these are tendencies and not definites. Coming from a single-parent household does not automatically mean that one will become a failure nor does coming from a two-parent household mean that one will become a success. I've noticed many of you that posted before me are from single-parent households and you seem to be doing just fine. However, as these stats show, there is a greater chance for success when there are two parents and that is definitely something to keep in mind.
