This ironically, is a discussion on how important do you believe it is to put discussion threads in their proper place and just where is the line drawn for these threads to be placed.

Well, you thread title is wrong. By being in the ED, even if they are misplaced, they are by definition ED threads(for they are in the extended discussion forum). They cannot be non-ED threads.

In essence, all movements are Zeitgeist movements. I get that it's the name of the movie, but it sounds really redundant. |

It matters to me because some threads really aren't ED material and they clutter the forum up... however, I never report them It's because I don't like paperwork. neutral

 We all meandered through our schooling haphazard; so, to God be thanks,Well, the answer is "yes" and "no." There are threads which really do not belong here - really bad troll threads, porn spam, life issues threads (although those prove interesting from time to time and I would prefer some of the better ones to be kept around), and plain stupid threads which should really be moved. Then we come to threads like the poetry thread and the musical thread which wasabichan and Cheshire respectively made; or random discussion threads about ed-ers. Those really, really should be left where they are. What is the point in moving them anyway? This place is relatively small compared to the other forums and surprisingly close-knit. We're also too damn lazy to participate in guilds. This is why ED needs this kind of silly randomness. And, let's be honest, virtually no one here will go to GD or CB to post in these threads had they been made there. ...it's easy, without too much fooling, to pass for cultured in our ranks. |
