I agree Girls can play sports but another thing is Sportscenter/ ESPN and all those Sports channels aren't showing and telivising it enough

I don't wear makeup because I hate it and am impatient. I hate shopping and won't take a step outside. Now yes there are girls who do that. I'm not one of them nor am I sporty. I have fallen off a horse as well not too horrible, no injury or anything but have many times can you fall off and get back on? It's pretty much like football except for the large differences. XP
We might not be recognized but what ever s*** of a household you come from girls still can do whatever a guy can. We may have more of a chance to sustain injury but that never stops us from doing what we want.

i certainly hope you aren't really a 'journalist' because your spelling is insane. anyway, it is a proven fact that men, on average, have twice the upper body strength as women. that means more 3's, more home runs, etc. as professional athletes, men also have more endurance than women, keeping games much more exciting. unless you like tennis, you can't even compare one men's sport to that of women's because they're completely different.

Even with tennis the woman aren't really on the same level as the men; they play three sets and the men play five. To be honest I think women's sport isn't as recognized because it's not as good (and I am a girl!) I'm not saying they can't play sport, thats ridiculous, it's just that at a professional level men usually play to a higher standard.

Guys always have to be jerks about everything!!!! I understand that guys have a lot more upper body strength, but that doesn't mean that they are better at everything. I know a junior GIRL that can chunk a basketball down court 10 times harder than any guy in our school!!! And I don't want to hear anything about how "girls cry when they get hurt" not all girls do that. I know guys that are major wimps and can't take an elbow to the ribs for anything!!!

i didnt read all of the responses but i read enough... so im addressing all at once while pointing out a few specific ones.

1) those who say girls cant play football, the best running back at my school is a girl and we have a really good team.
2)All of you pompous idiots that think we can't play... i will pray for you "cause you will need it if you take that thought through your life because the GIRLS (yes, i said GIRLS) will beat your a**es for it
3) i play volleyball and softball, i want to see you outpitch me and outpass me
4)i have thrown guys for saying that i couldnt be as good as them b/c im a girl
5) ive done the same for smashing a water balloon over my head

6) WATCH OUT!!!!!!!!! at my school, GIRLS RULE AND THE GUYS KNOW IT!!! because WE have taught THEM

i am a girl and if you give ,me the option of sportz or shopping/makeup there no doubt in my mind that i would pick sportz... i live and breathe volleyball and softball, i even have practices on off-season. shopping is a waste of time unless it is for sportz stuff and makeup is way over rated. i made the "A" team this year which is the best of the three and i haven't gone shopping for anything other than sportz stuff/groceries/books and gifts since christmas (atleast, not for myself)and even then, it was a competition for a giftcard to an electronics store.

so kiss my a$$ and get over your preconcived notions of women

Girls can be equally strong as dudes. Our muscles grow at different rates and different places. I noticed that in America "soccer" is considered a girly sport when everywhere else it's a man sport. Guys in America say it's a "sissy game" because "American football" took over. Football (soccer) is one of the more dangerous sports. People are breaking legs, spraining ankles and all that s**t in almost every game. You have to sprint like a b***h all the time and pay attention where the ball is so you won't get smacked in the face you do a header. Ladies are actually tougher than guys because we are meant to have babies which is painful.

HA! I weightlift & something tells me I can handle A LOT more than some guys.
Sure I'm not big but my muscles can handle it, trust me.
