GIRLS AND SPORTS DONT MIX?

4 generations it has been quite ovius that this is "a mans world" wether we like it or not. There r women's teams and sports but female athletes r not recognized. I took a poll and discovered that 74% of Americans couldn't name 3 female athletes, 20% cud not name any female athletes while only 6% cud name at-least 3. This is appalling, in my 6 years of journalism ive never seen such unfair sexist treatment. 99% of Americans were able 2 name 5 male athletes! Yea, women have teams, yea they have games but r they recognized?

some of you chicks are being bitches so cut the s**t and listen to what im saying. i never said i thought girls shouldnt play sports, the point of this damn post was to show how society seems to pushes boys close to sports and girls away. I am a girl and i lvoe sports so before you act like crazy skanks maybe you should listen!!! -_-

What? I'm a girl and Boys cant Tackle me down i have a nice spairl throw and have made touch downs.My neighbor plays on a football team he is same age as me and still cant tackle me.

i disagree. my sister, whom i hate to the ends of the earth because she is a b***h to me, is a very big counter example to what you just said. she is in college going to brown on the east coast. out of all the water polo players in the country, men AND women, she was recognized among the top 10! the top 10! and a woman too! there is a list of all the top 100 players ranked in this country for water polo and SHE (i caps "she" because that shows that she is a woman) is in the top ten.

I am a girl (incase you didnt realise) and i am sport MAD! I compete County level in Athletics, and Netball. I also do Rounders, Swimming, Football, Cricket, Tennis, Badminton....(not all for a team but the mjority are!!) So i don't understand how some people say Girls aren't suited to sport!!!

Female Sports Players: Kelly Sotherton, serena Williams, Paula radcliffe, Claire Warne and Rachel Dunn. All very succesful Sportswomen!! XDD

Of course girls can play sports but a lot can't and to be honest when I see the girls play they look un-coordinated but some girls can actually play but they are the non-attractive ones. No offense to any girl that can play sport. heart

Everybody thinks that girls are supposed to shop, and do their nails, and guy scan take the sports, well, the way the world is now, its the other way around. People say football is only for guys cause girls can't hanndle it, well, my school does Punt Pass & Kick, and we had some one make it all the way to the mega dome, and it was a girl. Take THAT guys! And I personally love football. And in my soccer leauge, NO GUYS can kick as far as meh. I can be at one goal, and I can kick it all the way like, 10 feet PASS the other goal. BEAT THAT BOYS!
