Quite frankly you guys have been acting as if Stephenie Meyers has just taken the declaration of independence and changed everything...but no! she just took an idea with the help of a legend of superstition, and did her own thing! and you know what?! she's freakin rich because of it, and I think that's the main reason while you all are unhappy about it. She's rich, it was an easy book and idea, and YOU didn't come up with it. Sorry too bad, she's better than you on that part. yes Fan girls need to get a hold of themselves, but haters need to shut the hell up and try to go read the book themselves! Jeez! You guys are worse than freakin atheists! THANK-YOU!!!!! You said the right thing here. It is just a book and a Movie with alot of creativity from the Author herself...She took a chance on writing about something that has been a legend and supertition over the last centuries as far as you can go back into history. AND SHE DID IT!!! She made it work for her and all of her fans who love her books. She reached to a specific age group and now plus more. I think she was brilliant and is making millions now..Can we all say we have done this? Also, She kept it very clean for her readers...Most writers put sex into alot of their writings. Not all writers share the same views she does, trying to be wholesome and monogmous in their books like she is..I think it sends a message about abstaning before you marry. GOOD FOR HER!! If I had daughters and sons I would let them read these books..Because I know exactly what they are reading. Not to say that I would stop them from reading ther other books..But I could tell them I approve on the way she had her characters. With what is out there for us today we need more like her writing. |

Stali First page! I think there's definitely a lot of negativity surrounding twilight, and not all of it is unwarranted. It's not a perfect book by anyone's standards, but hey, neither are a lot of other books. Generally, I find that the criticism is mostly caused by the excessive fangirl-ism surrounding it. It's seen as the "cool" thing to do to be against it now, even if one hasn't read it. Personally, I'd recommend people to actually read the book, and to state reasons why they dislike it, if they still do. Just saying TWILIGHT SUCKS in big red font does nothing for the conversation, and makes you look like an idiot. And hey, you might actually like it. If its this popular, don't you think it became this way for a reason? Though the movie does suck. And this comes from a person who likes the book. The acting was horrible, and the plots were choppy. took the words RIGHT out of my mouth |

Ok this is my opinion and I read the books haven't watched the movie but twilight is a good book series and i am only in grade 8 and i finished them in about three months mostly the long time period becauseI had to wait weeks on end for the books to come in to the library i borrowed them from. Now for all those ppl that say twilight sucks shut ur ******** pieholes and keep ur opinions to ur self didn't ur mama tell u if u don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all!

SilentRedemption Stephanie Meyer is a horrible author her next book is about sirens that are really mermaids v.v... She has killed literature for me. If you want a vampire story based on HISTORICAL myths and legends like Bram stoker's Dracula, read king better yet true blood is even better than twilight. So now that racist, sexist b***h is going to ruin mermaids? Great. Great. Can someone kindly punch her in the uterus? She deserves it. |
