I changed my vista stuff today, I had to replace explorer.exe, browseui.dll and ieframe.dll to get the custom stuff to work. Replaced all that, no prob. Everything seemed to work perfect.

Buttttt.

If I go to control panel, before the window opens it tells me "The ordinal 120 could not be located in the dynamic link library ietutil.dll" in a window titled "control.exe - Ordinal Not Found". But if I hit ok, it continues opening and functions just fine.

And then I found out games don't work. I've got Rappelz and the Allods Online beta on here, and neither opens. Rappelz launcher tells me "Failed to create empty document." and the Allods launcher tells me "Allods Online.Update system. has stopped working" in one of those vista type error windows with all the info.

Should I just undo what I did, or is there something else I can do to fix this?

... Did you happen to edit this through the System32 folders?... If so... That is quite a sin. NEVER, EVER, DO THAT AGAIN!...

Your best bet is to just REFORMAT your whole computer buddy... If you think it's not the case, could you give us some more details? Such as computer behavior as you use it on a daily basis, etc.

Before reformatting as stated above, a system restore is worth a shot.

Actually if you still have the original recovery disk then you should be able to repair your OS system without having to reformat. You should still back up you files anyway but it is very unlikely that you will lose your files during the repair process. If that doesn't fix it up then reformat maybe? Unless someone has a better option which they probably do...

I suggest you to switch to Windows 7 or do a system restore

its alright to edit your system32 folder as long as you back it up and know what your doing well your right too

Wouldn't switching to WIn 7 require a format? I usually consider a format to be the last resort when it comes to computers (that and buying new hardware for a part that's not working right).
