And that's where we hit a roadblock; my scripts are on my laptop, which is broken until I get a new powercord (hopefully tomorrow). Is it okay if I PM a couple of scripts to you tomorrow?

That's cool with me! Can you pm me descriptions of some of the characters that will be in the first few pages so I can start sketching? I want to make the characters look consistent.
