Hi,

In which city do you live? Sure I have access to all kinds of web traffic data which shows where our members are, but where’s the fun in that? xd

It’s much more fun to read a description of a user’s part of the world, written in their own words. For example, I know a user who lives in Gilroy, CA, aka “the garlic capital of the world.” He describes his town as “the smelliest, pungent part of the south bay that stays with you in your clothes, hair, and breath (even if you didn’t eat any).”

I live in Sunnyvale, which is only 20 minutes away from San Jose, CA. Sunnyvale used to be full of cherry orchards decades ago, but virtually all the land has been converted to support the surrounding high tech industries. Here's a map of the city.

So, leave me a post below with a tidbit about your neck of the woods. Feel free to link to a map of your city if it’s not a well known place. For safety reasons and because it'd be a TOS violation (I don't want any of you to get banned), don’t give out any more details than city, state/province/etc, and country. Especially if you live in a city with a population of only 21 people. biggrin

The above is a part of a series of topics I’ll be writing about every few days. When the next topic is written, I’ll add a link to it here so that it’s easier to "follow the chapters” as they unfold. So check back here often.

‘til next time.
Tae

Hey Tae, WhaDaYaSay?

Username pronounced "eat egg." xd

I'm from Wood River, Illinois.
In the town next to us, the tallest (and still tallest!) man in the world was born.
His name was Robert Wadlow. He was 9' 11'' and 1 centimeter.
In this town, Lewis and Clark set up their winter camp at 'River Du Bois' which is french for wood river.

I don't even technically live in a city. I live on the outskirts of one with like... 5,000 people within its limits. 3nodding

So, you know, it's not that exciting. Or interesting. I'm surprised we even have Gaia Cash Cards here. rofl

Clackamas, Oregon.
Right next to Boring, Oregon. (literally)

Its the rich suburbs.
With the majority of the population Asian & Caucasion and like nothing else. (LOL)
Just got to love the diversity. :]

But its like right next to Portland (also known as The Rose city)
which is like the second largest NorthWest city, with the current rage of being indie and rebel skaters. <3

Oregon is known for its rain, and perfect climate temps for growing
passion fruit & roses. So you'll see rose bushes in like everyone's yards.

The one and only Oxnard. =/ Strawberry/Lima Bean Capital.
Lately though it's turned into more of the "Let's build homes on all our fields capital"

I live in a suburb of Milwaukee, Wisconsin (which some people confuse for a suburb of Chicago, Illinois...)
We make waste into fertilizer. It's called Milorganite.

Also there is lots of beer.

I'm busy trying to figure out my future. RPs are on a "whenever-I-feel-like-doing-it" hiatus for a week or two while I plan.
