I always sorta liked "Let Go." I hate her new music, such as "Girlfriend" and that song that goes:

If you ever expected "punk" out of Avril, you're pretty silly. She was always teen pop-rock.

I laugh whenever anyone refers to anything played on Top 40 radio stations as "punk."

Some of her songs are actually somewhat fine but most of them are rubbish and just plain pointless. I like some songs but the singer? Hell, no.

If you thought Avril was punk then you're just really silly.
she's always been pop-punk.
and she's okay
i love her older stuff, and her new stuff is okay i guess.
Her songs may not be amazing, but she does have a great voice.

Actually, she herself has said that she isn't punk. Her music is pop-punk, like Simple Plan or Paramore. Also, her album The Best Damn Thing is a sign that she has matured, and is able to sing about stuff other than teen-angst and breakups.

I like her earlier stuff too, but don't get pissed because she grew up. If all artists stayed the same life would be very tedious. Imagine how the Beatles would have been if they never had made Sargent Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. I mean, how would we know that Paul was dead if we hadn't seen any of those clues.
