Well....I think I started drawing because I wanted to show my friends that I can draw, I guess I just wanted to show off and get center of attention.

But I got over it when I came to Middle school...and I thought I was just doing something stupid.

;PP

So now I just draw for fun.

I started drawing anime since I was 7 no...I think 6?

My sister showed me this anime called InuYasha or something?

EDIT;; Noo!

I think my purpose of drawing anime is when this boy in my classroom when I was in Kindergarten was very good at drawing the sky...clouds and other stuff and my friends always used to go to him to ask him to draw them something...Then yeah...thats when I wanted to be center of attention and stuff..

8DD

And now I'm grateful to that boy , I was jealous of because he was the whole purpose of making my draw anime.

Well when I was in kindergarten I had to draw a picture of me and my family and my art teacher told me it was crap and made me cry. I was traumatize by was she said so I decided to get better at art so that I could prove to her that I don't suck at drawing.

I draw because I love to.

I guess for me it started out in Second Grade. My teacher was mad about art, and made it a hobby for me, saying I was good. Me, a second grader, good? Imagine what that did to my ego!

Well, come around fourth-fifth grade, I was mesmerized by the style of manga and anime. So I adapted the style into my own, and ever since then, I continue to draw, not because I'm good at it. Along the way, I fell in love with drawing, being able to express myself in that way, and getting high on creativity.

I love it more so than ever because of an artist who's inspired me so much. Their art is so beautiful, but I'm not gonna say who, 'cause I'll gush on and on about them and make this post longer than it already is... >.>

I started drawing in 5th grade because my friend got so much attention from drawing well. so I thought, 'oh, i should try drawing too!'
i gave up on that purpose in around 6th grade. by then, i got the basics down and i started really loving to draw.

it was really shallow, lol. the ironic thing is now, i really dislike getting compliments for art, it makes me feel awkward.

I have no idea when i started to draw, but even when i was a toddler i was always doing little doodles. Most were bird=P I have developed more but im still not satisfied. But the only reason i haven't stopped is because im obsessed with designing and characters in books=)

Hmmm thats a very good question. Im sure a lot of scientific and pyschology mumbo jumbo could explain why buuuuut im gonna make up my own reason hahaha biggrin I draw mostly because art is world without rules or restrictions, and its a good way to channel my inspiration from the outside world into something that i created all on my own. Plus its just one of those things that practice makes perfect <3

Edit!!::: Oh oh! I REALLY got into art because of Neopets! <333 ahahaha

*Funny story... When I first started drawing at a very young age, my mom said id always draw things very dark and somewhat evil looking. After awhile, she said I had this vivid dream about an indian woman that had a horse and was killed, and I said that I was that indian lady. After I told her about the dream she said that i began to draw things like butterflies and flowers. Guess some past life was haunting me...? sweatdrop Creepy indian ladies....

I started drawing when I was like 7-10 years old, I don't remember my exact age then, mainly because I find the pokemon characters so cute. I had these notebook and in every page was a pokemon character drawn in pencil and colored with crayons. It seemed that I have always known that I can draw. hehe.

After that obsession faded, I drew only occasionally, like when I had projects in school and when a friend or a sibling needs help with art.

Last year, I transferred to another school and I missed my friends so dearly as well as my old life routines. Then I was introduced to Gaia and I found out that gaians love art. So to get rid of boredom and to keep myself from thinking bout the things i missed so much,, I resorted into drawing. Thats it. hehe...

Now Ive been accepting commissions in my art shop here in Gaia... its n my siggy...

well my parents were always good artists same with a lot of my people in my family. dont get me wrong they were good but i thought i could do better. so i went on practicing drawing and i wanted to show them that i could surpass them in something. and let it be known i dont have any sibilings so i cant compete with them or anything. now i still draw, i draw like sleep, everyday, all the time. whee

Well, I think it was around the time I watched Pokemon and saw my sister play it. I have countless pictures of Pokemon, cartoon creatures I've created myself, and drawings of my virtual pets off various sites that do that sort of thing. Then, in the eighth grade (Two years ago.) I noticed one of my friend's friend (We're friends now. XD As confusing as that may sound.) drawing in the same "style" of cartoons I've been watching, for example, Card Captors. She told me how it was Anime/Manga and thus, I was introduced to that. Even though I have watched Anime for some time before and didn't know that was what it was called. Then I began drawing that. Now two years later, I still draw it but I'm starting to get bored with it and somewhat branching out. Reading my sister's Art History textbook really opened my eyes to different art forms and some famous pieces that came with it. It was also this year that I considered art seious enough for a career, even though it is risky. I don't want to be stuck in office all my life. How boring! Anyways, now I'm trying to work away from anime and use it as more of a bordem relief thing. 8D

It's fun and you don't have to study to pass. smile

Thats why I started.

Everyone prays the same way
i actualy don't darw anime and manga.

i strated drawing because [and this is gonna sound wierd] i have a wild imagination. for as long as i can remember i've always just had these amazing pictures that i create in my head. and eventually i got tired of loosing these mental drwaings, so i started drawing them, that way i always have them [granted i always have them IF i don't loose the paper/canves virsion sweatdrop ] and i can forget the mental virsion and come up with new ones.

R.I.P. we will miss you marisa's van. you will always be in our hearts. </3

I started drawing as soon as I could hold a pencil or crayon (before pre-school). I had a bad middle school art teacher that put down my art but praised this other girl, who I disliked because of her bragging. SO in high school I vowed to become class artist in Senior year and go to my first choice art college. In high school I got an amazing art teacher who critiqued and helped me grow. I have art from the beginning and end of freshman year and I grew a lot as an artist, and the same goes for my sophomore year. So I guess the who reason I draw is to get better/be better.

Haha there was this girl in 10 grade that always drew anime -still does- It rubbed off on me and I wanted to draw too, it was just so cool heart
