the most popular and beloved pencils are prisma colors.
only problem, their a little on the expensive side....

all i really have is a 52 set of crayola color pencils, and am thinking of getting better color set (one's that blend better)

what other color pencils, are easy to blend but aren't as expensive?

have you tries oil pastels

How about Derwent?
You can most likely find Derwent pencils in any Art store, and I'm pretty sure they are alot cheaper then Prismacolors.
I used to use them, and i heart loved heart them!
Now I'm using a 120 count of original Berol Prismacolors!
Berol is the company that originally manufactured them, and i must say working with the ones I have are amazing! (there from 1976 i believe)

But other than that i use Derwent for everything
Graphite, watercolor pencils, and so so much more

I use Ergosoft Staedtler.
I really prefer them to Prisma (I have experience with Prismas from art class. Not high on my list for colored pencils.). they're easy to blend with and give you a nice, soft texture.
I'm using them to color a picture right now, actualy. I'm loving the results.

I think it cost me about...23-25 dollars for a 24 pencil set. C:

colors are colorful!

Faber Castell has a line of colored pencils, called Red Line, they have great color, and they can layer and blend. They're very cheap, hardly costing any more than Crayola. I just checked DickBlick.com, they sell a pack of 36 for $7.00. Not as awesome as Prismacolors (my personal favorite) but definitely good for being affordable.

There's also the Faber Castell Grip line, costs just a little more, but they're also nice. I use them more often.

I love pencil art. Click the banner for my dA.

I use FaberCastel's pencils for any traditional pic I'm making.
The ones I adore are Polychromos--some say they are the coloring pencils of the highest quality.A set containing 30 of them will cost you about 30$.
          There's also a set of 120,but it costs 300$,totally not suggesting that..xD

Questing Kanoko's Dark Reflection. plz2help? :>
Just stick with the crayola because I personally think that the products that they are selling today are just over priced and cheep. But thats just my opinion surprised
