when the first comment or critique I get is "why is she/he so fat?"
rolleyes oh golly, I'm sorry I didn't draw them looking like an anorexic emo phrat.
Agreed. I dislike when people try to impose their own ideas of beauty on my images. "The shoulders are too mannish" or the like when I use more curves and muscles to depict, say... a mace wielding draenai from WoW, or a Gaiatan carrying elf woman for someone's avi.
-_- I grew tired of trying to draw all swan necked pencil thin waifs ages ago.

I hate it when people go through my sketchbook without even asking.
IT FREAKS ME OUT, MAAAAAAAN.
Oh lord, don't I know... They'll pick it up and start leafing through it as I'm setting up my pencils. One never knows what i have in there. I'll sometimes draw rather nude images to practice anatomy, and living in the bible belt... well.. You can get some odd looks.
Other things I hate are people that watch me draw, and ask if I can draw them. I can, and usually fairly well... but their expectation is for me to stop what I'm doing right then and draw them. -_- it irks me so.
... Also, lately, now that I've decided to abandon the artistic career path, I find critiques a little less bearable. I'm not sure why, but they've been getting on my nerves more an more. Perhaps I'm just bitter. ^^
