Drawing problems:
Having a sweaty hand that makes a nice fist shaped hand print in my paper.
Erasing the outlines after I've inked my drawing, and having the eraser hold on to the paper too tight, and it completely crunches my paper. *i've gotten mighty pissed at this*
Still having outline marks that stand out even on a colored piece.
Drawing when i'm tired, and thus, producing crappy stuff

Other
Getting a good inspiration at 3 in the morning
Getting a good inspiration and losing it
Having people say the complete opposite of what your art is supposed to be
Random ***holes that come out of nowhere and say 'lol it sucks lol', and that's their idea of a critique

and most of all, tracers. they're not artists, they are pathetic, and they suck. doesn't matter who you are, if you trace, and that's all you do, you're nothing. neutral

2. people stating that the fact I draw well is a gift from god or genetic

Oh, god, not the genetic thing. It's worse when you have members in your family that have some experiences with art, they always try to pin your skills on their ALLMIGHTY ART GENES, even if all they did was take a class in which they drew a couple of pictures. Of course. lol

- Those who think too highly of themselves. LOLWHAT?

I've known quite a few like that. Sometimes they're decent people who lack the eye to be able to properly evaluate their own skill, so i don't know what to say..

Okay, as for my own, I hate people that whine when I draw things I like as opposed to what they like. Eww, why are you drawing sci-fi girls with pointy ears. Eww, why are you doing everything digitally, natural media is more valuable. I know! You can learn how to draw yourself and then you can draw stuff you like... and then I'll whine about it. It'll be epic.

I've even had a family member say to me that I'll never make it in art because I didn't draw what he liked. People can be such tards.

I also particularly dislike using graphite for more than sketching, grubby erasers, zapped inspiration, drawing next to people who are ridiculously better than I am, a new medium that is unwilling to cooperate with my hands, not understanding certain critiques [especially by sub-par critics], and not being able to get out what's in my head.

OMG I love you! I agree totally with that statement. ^^
biggrin Will you C&C my drawing in my sig? It was a quick run practice sketch. The rest of her looked not as great so I didn't include it in the pic.

I have a shitload of artistic family members but I see it as more nurture than nature in any case. We were raised to make things, it's just what people did.

When I draw I always draw the naked body first before putting clothes... that's why I never really want people to look at me drawing. It's embarassing =.= You won't believe how many religious friends I have... and how faithful they are. Not to mention, parents.

I know how you feel hon. That's the way to draw and you just don't want people lookin at the wrong time. They don't understand and won't. You get the right and good form drawing the naked body first. You know where to place things and how.

What really gets my goat is when I'm erasing something and the eraser leaves a giant graphite smudge that becomes embedded into the drawing. No amount of erasing will get rid of it gonk

Another thing that annoys me is when people compare themselves to art thieves, tracers, etc and complain about how much more positive attention the thieves get because the one complaining thinks she or he is so much better than the art thieves. If a piece of artwork is good, it should be able to stand out among art thieves, and the people I see doing this are just above mediocre yet are so full of themselves that critiquing them becomes counterproductive to your mental health.

That's no lollipop!

I hate when people see my work before it's finished. I think they'll think it's bad and makes me uncomfortable. I also don't like seeing people's are that's better than mine. DX It depresses me and makes me feel like I'll never reach that point.

If words can't be spoken they must be written; a habit forming painkiller for the soul.
I hate it when...
People can't tell from my drawings whether it's a guy or girl.
For God's Sake, there's freaking huge tits on the girl and the biggest a**, and they're still wtfing at it.
"IS THAT A HESHE?!"

when some person don't believe that I drew the pic. scream

I hate it when people who can only draw one thing semi-well think that they're an artist.

And people copying.
